5 Back-to-School Tips for Braces

As summer comes to an end š, we are looking ahead to fall and the back to school rushš. Itās easy to forget good braces hygiene in the midst of all the activity.
Dr. Nemes wanted to offer a few tips š on braces care to patients who are returning to schoolš.
1ļøā£. Make a braces care kit. Keeping a care kit in your backpack or locker is always a good idea! Make sure itās stocked with a toothbrush š¦·, toothpaste, floss and wax.
2ļøā£. Stick to your braces ādietā š. We know it can be challenging - especially when time pressed - but try to refrain from eating anything too hard, chewy or sticky so your braces stay in tip-top shape.
3ļøā£. Pack a reusable water bottle š§. Drinking water can help clear away any food residue that may be left behind after eating and will keep your braces clean.
4ļøā£. Donāt forget a mouthguard. If you play contact sports šāāļø, Dr. Nemes recommends wearing a mouthguard. Let us know if you need help selecting the right one for you!
